Key duties and responsibilities: Financials  Ensure compliance with Group and local financial legislation and standards.  Ensure compliance with Group budgetary reporting requirements.  Preparation and analyse financial reports - income statements, balance sheets and budgets.  Manage the preparation of other financial reports. Payroll  Liaise with the Department Managers and the External Payroll service provider for the payroll run and ensure that payments are effected.  Maintenance of vacation/sickness leave records  Ensure that annual PAYG summaries are issued timely as produced by the External Payroll service provider Strategic Planning  Working with the President to develop and implement the financial strategic plan for Japan.  Financial Planning for the future, competitor analysis, strategic planning.  Serve on planning and policy-making committees Japan Finance Specific  Assist the Director Finance, Asia Pacific with managing the overall financial aspects of the Business Category Unit to achieve maximum profit.  Report in Business review meetings.  Liaise and support the Japan Business Unit.  Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management functions.  Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance.  Monitor and analyse monthly operating results against budget.  Oversee daily operations of the Japan Finance Team.  Manage the preparation of financial forecasts.  Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.  Work with the Director Finance, Asia Pacific and President to develop the Long Range Plan.  Assist in establishing short and long range Japan Business goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.  Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.  Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, the general public and customers

求める能力・経験

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance　and Accounting or equivalent. Knowledge of finance,　accounting, budgeting, and cost　control principles including　generally accepted accounting　principles. Knowledge of automated　financial and accounting　reporting systems. Working knowledge of short and　long term annual budgeting,　quarterly forecasting and product　profitability analysis.
