The Copy Editor shall be responsible for the editorial quality and consistency of all advertising copy and content for Japan. This responsibility includes ensuring the accuracy of all language (namely spelling, punctuation and grammar); adhering to the approved style guide for the market; localising copy, as necessary; supporting production; and mastering the technical terminology within the client's copy. Working hand-in-hand with the copywriter, it is the Copy Editor’s responsibility to constructively challenge the work to ensure the creative output is of the highest standard.
・Substantial experience in an editorial role within a creative environment, ideally an advertising agency. ・Has worked for an international client with an establish brand presence. ・Cares about the craft of copywriting and someone who wants to push the work to be the best it can possibly be. ・Possesses the highest level of technical proofing ability. ・Must have a nuanced understanding of language conventions, style and usage, as well as linguistic subtleties.
